Avatar is unique in that it incorporates a variety of specialty therapies that can aid in faster recovery. “Specialty Therapies are alternative therapies used to complement traditional addiction treatment programs. These holistic techniques assist with reducing physical symptoms of addiction and withdrawal and improve the overall wellbeing of everyone.” Specialty therapies can include yoga, breathwork, volcanic sand therapy, color therapy, earthing therapy, animal-assisted therapy, and wilderness therapy. During earthing therapy, clients will be guided through strategies that help eliminate overwhelming thought patterns. Volcanic sand therapy helps clients connect to the Earth, reduces pain, and improves overall health. Color Therapy affects human emotions and can help individuals focus and attain peace.
