His work has taken him into emergency rooms, where immediate crisis support is often needed; into jails and treatment courts, where recovery can offer a vital alternative to cycles of incarceration; and into communities that are often marginalized and underserved. These experiences have shaped his perspective on the systemic challenges people face and have fueled his advocacy for policies and programs that create greater access to recovery resources.Beyond his professional expertise, Wes is a vocal advocate for the recovery coaching profession itself. He believes that recovery coaches play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between clinical treatment and long-term community support. By amplifying the voices of recovery coaches and highlighting the transformative impact they have, Wes continues to elevate the visibility and recognition of the field.Wes resides in Madison, Wisconsin, where he is deeply rooted in both his professional and personal communities. He is the proud father of four children, who inspire him daily and keep him grounded in his values of resilience, compassion, and hope. Whether through his leadership at Recovery.com, his work as a trainer and facilitator, or his presence in his local community, Wes remains dedicated to creating a world where recovery is not only possible but celebrated as a powerful and life-affirming journey.
