Jasleen Chhatwal, MBBS, MD, is a board-certified psychiatrist, addiction medicine physician, and integrative medicine specialist with more than a decade of leadership experience across clinical care, health systems, academic medicine, and digital health. She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Sierra Tucson, Behavioral Health Medical Director at BCBS Arizona HealthChoice, and Associate Professor at the University of Arizona College of Medicine.Dr. Chhatwal’s work centers on advancing trauma-responsive, evidence-based, and culturally informed models of care that support healing of the mind, body, and spirit. As a physician executive, she has led multidisciplinary teams, redesigned treatment programs, expanded access to innovative therapies, and strengthened quality, safety, and compliance infrastructure across diverse behavioral healthcare settings. Her leadership approach integrates operational excellence with clinician well-being, ensuring care models are both financially sustainable and deeply human-centered.Actively engaged in digital health strategy, Dr. Chhatwal advises on the ethical integration of emerging technologies and is exploring AI-enabled clinical decision support tools that reinforce physician oversight and medical ethics. She also serves in elected and appointed leadership roles with the American Psychiatric Association, Arizona Psychiatric Society, and Arizona Medical Association, contributing to policy, advocacy, and professional education at the state and national levels.Dr. Chhatwal holds an Executive MBA from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management and completed a fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. Her work has been recognized through distinguished fellowship in the American Psychiatric Association, multiple presidential and educator awards, and invitations to speak nationally and internationally on trauma, leadership, advocacy, clinician well-being, and recovery-oriented care.She is also the co-founder of Kallistos Wellness, where she partners with organizations to strengthen culture, resilience, and trauma-informed leadership. At the heart of her work is a guiding philosophy of Intentional Evolution, a commitment to purposeful reflection, aligned action, and building a more equitable, compassionate mental health system.
