About Austin Oaks Hospital
Austin Oaks Hospital is a specialized behavioral health center that is ready and able to address dual-diagnosis clientele through inpatient and outpatient treatment. Austin Oaks offers a full continuum of psychiatric services for adults ages 18+ and adolescents ages 7 to 17, along with substance abuse treatment, detox services, and a specialized inpatient program just for women. The 51,420 square foot facility is situated on 13-acres in South Austin, Texas. Clients are housed with one other roommate in gender-specific rooms, separated by wings. Bedrooms are spacious with twin beds, desk space, and private bathrooms. The spacious facility provides a comfortable environment for clients to relax in, or socialize in one of the many lounge rooms equipped with cozy furniture, TV’s and movies.
Austin Oaks uses a therapeutic model when treating addiction and co-occurring conditions. Treatment includes a variety of therapies including dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), group therapy, family counseling, psychoeducation, anger management, art therapy, music therapy, yoga, recreational therapy, and more. Clients can also take advantage of a physical fitness program and nutritional counseling.
