About Asurgent Health
Asurgent Health is an outpatient substance use addiction treatment center located in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. It is easily accessible by RTA and is certified by Ohio Department of Medicaid and Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services. The center adheres to a high level of excellence and keeps up to date with the most current research and innovative treatment methods. Asurgent Health does not offer medication-assisted treatment, but will provide referrals to appropriate resources if deemed necessary. The center is open Monday-Friday, 9AM-5PM and walk-ins are welcome at this facility.
Asurgent Health offers alcohol and drug assessments that usually take 1-2 hours. The evaluation assesses an individual’s substance abuse history and where they are currently with substance use to allow staff to make recommendations and develop a tailored treatment plan. From there, individuals have the option of individual counseling, outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, or partial hospitalization treatment. Individual counseling sessions are scheduled weekly and coordinated between a patient and therapist.
Asurgent Health’s outpatient treatment program consists of individual counseling, group therapy, educational services, and recovery support groups. Individuals in this program may meet once or twice a week for group and individual therapy. Outpatient groups are offered Tuesdays 6-7:30PM or Thursdays 10-11:30AM. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) is a method of group therapy that typically spans 90 days. Participants of the IOP attend weekly group sessions for 3 hours a day, 3 times a week. IOP counselors will also provide 1-on-1 counseling throughout the program. Asurgent Health offers IOP classes during the day, evening and via telehealth to accommodate participants’ schedules.
The center’s partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a day treatment program where individuals can expect to attend therapy groups Monday-Friday for about 6 hours a day. The program can last from as little as 1 week or up to 6 months. Participants will receive a minimum of 1 hour of individual counseling per week and a treatment team will help plan for ongoing care prior to completion of the program.
