About Asha Bhawan Nepal
Asha Bhawan Nepal offers a structured residential program for men recovering from alcohol and drug addictions. Located in the village of Thankot, Nepal, the residence has expansive views of the Kathmandu Valley. The program accepts referrals from halfway houses, local community groups, police, and non-governmental organizations. Their treatment philosophy focuses on rehabilitating the body, mind, and spirit. Clients follow a structured daily program including healthy meals and regular sleeping hours, sports and recreational activities, and household duties. Individual and group therapy sessions are offered daily and clients can take part in expressive arts and recreational activities, including reading, studies, music, and theater groups.
Asha Bhawan recognizes the barriers in place for folks seeking addiction treatment and provides their services free of charge. Funding is provided from the organization's many charities and local farms.
