Advanced Rapid Detox (ARD) specializes in a rapid detoxification process aimed at relieving clients of withdrawal symptoms. Under this procedure, clients are given IV sedation, allowing them to sleep through their withdrawal while a doctor administers medication to counter the effects of opiates on the receptors. This procedure helps clients avoid the severe pain that typically comes with a cold -turkey detox. After the detox is complete, clients are moved to private rooms where they receive their first Vivitrol injection—an opiate-blocker that helps reduce cravings. During their stay at ARD, clients receive round-the-clock care from a team of highly trained medical professionals who specialize in opiate detoxification. The team monitors clients closely to ensure a safe recovery. Following a day of rest, clients will meet with the doctor one last time to discuss follow-up care and then clients are free to go home or to another level of care elsewhere. All clients who go to ARD are eligible for their detox-related aftercare program.
