About WOMAN, Inc.
Meeting survivors where they are, Women Organized to Make Abuse Nonexistent, Inc. (W.O.M.A.N., Inc.) has supported survivors of domestic violence in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area since 1978, including survivors who remain in a relationship, have left, or are at another point in their healing process. They offer individual psychotherapy, family therapy, peer counseling, safety planning, referrals, and case management while recognizing survivors as experts in their own situations.
Broaden Access to Support
W.O.M.A.N., Inc. also supports friends and family who want to better understand a loved one’s experience or find support for their own emotional distress. Its 24-hour support line provides peer counseling, safety planning, and resource referrals. Spanish-speaking survivors can access therapy in Spanish and the Latinx Program, which offers in-depth case management in a culturally appropriate environment.
