About Community Counseling & Mediation - Willoughby Clinic
For more than 40 years, Community Counseling & Mediation (CCM) has provided mental health services across Brooklyn and Manhattan through a network of New York State Article 31 licensed outpatient clinics. At its Willoughby Clinic, CCM serves children ages 10 and older, adolescents, adults, couples, and families through in-person and telehealth care. The clinic provides individual and group sessions, with services including child and adolescent counseling, play and art therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and conflict mediation. Clients also receive psychiatric evaluations, psychosocial assessments, and medication management.
Delivering Culturally Responsive Care
Therapists develop individualized case formulations that reflect each client’s and family’s background, values, cultural needs, and life experiences. The clinical team delivers culturally-responsive, multilingual care using short- and long-term psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychoeducation, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered therapy, to address each client’s needs. The clinic also offers anger management groups, bereavement counseling, parenting groups, ongoing therapy, psychiatric care, and medication management to support clients and families throughout treatment.
