Located east of Stillhouse Hollow Nature Preserve, ATX Therapy Center runs an outpatient therapy practice on Spicewood Springs Rd in north Austin, with telehealth available across Texas. They work with teens, adults, couples, and families dealing with trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, anxiety, depression, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), relationship problems, eating concerns, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), chronic pain, and suicidal ideation. Clients can start with a free 15-minute consultation and meet with a therapist in person or online.
Therapy Services and Methods
They provide individual, couples, family, and premarital counseling. Depending on the clinician and treatment goals, sessions may include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness, somatic experiencing, Gottman method, couples therapy, emotion-focused therapy, imago relationship therapy, family systems therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused work, and experiential methods. Grief-focused therapy addresses death, infertility, illness, divorce, estrangement, identity changes, and other major losses.
Access, Client Fit, and Cost
Clients can continue work, school, and family responsibilities while attending scheduled outpatient sessions. They identify all clinicians as LGBTQ+ affirming and include multicultural and bilingual experience, including Spanish-speaking care. Private-pay sessions cost $175 for a 55-minute session with a senior clinician and $150 with an associate clinician. Sliding-scale rates depend on household size and income. Insurance participation varies by therapist and may include Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Lyra EAP, Medicare, Tricare West, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum/Oscar.
