Somerton Lodge
About Somerton Lodge
Somerton Lodge supports adults with substance use disorders on England’s Isle of Wight. It provides a calm, structured, alcohol-free residential environment for clients seeking recovery support, post-detox stabilisation and time away from the pressures associated with drinking. Care includes residential stays, structured online programming, and a partnership with Equilibrium for optional medically supervised detox. Standouts include peer-led support, a peaceful boutique setting, and a bridge between non-clinical recovery and clinical needs.
Shape Transformation with Expert Guidance
Somerton Lodge's Quintiva framework blends neuroscience, emotional healing, social connection, behavioural change, and spiritual growth into one body–mind–soul pathway. Created by Somerton Lodge owner, John Elford, it integrates lived experience with clinical insight, guiding purposeful change. Guests can take part in a structured programme of non-clinical recovery education and support. This includes group workshops, guided workbook sessions, peer support, recovery planning and individual recovery-focused conversations. Any medical detoxification or clinical care is provided separately by appropriately registered independent clinical partners.
Restore Wellbeing in a Calming Setting
Guests stay on site with support available throughout their stay. Somerton Lodge provides accommodation, recovery education, peer support and practical recovery planning. It does not provide 24-hour clinical monitoring or operate as a clinical rehabilitation facility. Guests stay in private or shared rooms within a peaceful boutique retreat. Days feature chef-prepared meals, refreshments and snacks, gardens, and easy access to coastal and countryside walks. Travel is simple: the team provides help, ferry discount codes with bookings, and pickups or an escort when needed.
