About Cygnet Fountains
Admission to Cygnet Health Care is not open to direct self-referral; the organization does not accept patients who contact the facilities directly to arrange their own treatment. As a primary partner to the NHS and local authorities, Cygnet Health Care operates almost exclusively through professional referrals funded by public health bodies. Prospective patients require a formal referral from a licensed healthcare provider, such as a General Practitioner (GP), social worker, or Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), to secure a placement. Individuals seeking care at a Cygnet facility must work with their existing medical team to facilitate an assessment and subsequent admission.
The team at Cygnet is dedicated to providing a positive and comfortable experience and atmosphere with specialised high support inpatient rehabilitation for men experiencing mental illness, with a focus on achieving community reintegration. Ideal candidates have a mental health diagnosis such as schizophrenia, mood or personality disorders, bipolar, and depression, and who have previous failed treatment attempts, or who are detained under the Mental Health Act.
Cygnet Fountains uses various therapies like psychodynamic therapy, family therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, drama therapy and other complementary therapies for a personalised approach. The programs at Cygnet emphasise patient-centred care by actively involving patients in their treatment plans, and all aspects of life while recovering. With a blend of occupational therapy, psychology and clinical interventions, Cygnet Fountains provides a balanced approach that helps men enhance their personal and professional skills to rebuild their lives.
Clients can take advantage of two spacious community lounge areas, a private visitors suite, activities room, therapy kitchen, IT cafe, and ensuite bedrooms. Outside the facility, they have a beautiful gazebo area with plenty of sunlight, in addition to 3 different garden areas to enjoy.
