Privé-Swiss claims to tailor care to the individual. In reality, the therapy felt patronizing and inauthentic. Conversations felt surface-level, performative, and disconnected from actual healing. The “treatment” consisted of talk therapy, journaling and yoga. Which is fine if you’re looking for a wellness retreat—but if you have real psychiatric or medical concerns, this will do absolutely nothing for you. Their approach to complex mental health conditions? Breathing exercises and journaling. I was dealing with severe medical issues intertwined with psychiatric symptoms. Rather than investigating or taking a nuanced approach, they blamed everything on stimulants and caffeine. At one point, I reported that breathing therapy was making me physically ill—causing nausea and dizziness. They looked at me like I was crazy. They also took me off my prescribed medications, including stimulants I need for ADHD and chronic fatigue, and then discharged me with NO follow-up plan. They threw me back into the world without a safety net, despite the fact that I am an overwhelmed mother managing multiple chronic conditions. This wasn’t treatment. It was removal of support. The staff—the companions, chefs, and non-clinical team—were great. They genuinely cared, and they should be running the place, not the psych team. I also believe that the founder, Heidi, has good intentions. This place might help people, but for me, it was dangerous.<br/>
