About Cygnet Lodge Brighouse
The team at Cygnet is dedicated to providing a positive and comfortable experience and atmosphere with specialised high support inpatient rehabilitation for men experiencing mental illness, with a focus on achieving community reintegration. Ideal candidates have a mental health diagnosis such as schizophrenia, mood or personality disorders, bipolar, and depression, and who have previous failed treatment attempts, or who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Their program is best suited for men with a primary mental illness diagnosis, who may be enduring co-occurring substance abuse, a mild learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, or may require long-term care for acute mental health needs.
Their program utilises various therapies like psychodynamic therapy, family therapy, occupational therapy, art therapy, drama therapy and other complementary therapies for a personalised approach. The programs at Cygnet emphasise patient-centred care by actively involving patients in their treatment plans, and all aspects of life while recovering.
Clients can take advantage of two spacious community lounge areas, a private visitors suite, activities room, multi-faith room, IT cafe, and ensuite bedrooms. Outside the facility, they have a beautiful and spacious enclosed garden with an allotment area to enjoy.
With a blend of occupational therapy, psychology and clinical interventions, Cygnet Lodge Brighouse provides a balanced approach that helps men enhance their personal and professional skills to rebuild their lives.
