About Cygnet 15 The Sycamores
The team at Cygnet is dedicated to providing a positive and comfortable experience and atmosphere, with specialised high support inpatient rehabilitation for men experiencing mental illness, with a focus on achieving community reintegration. Ideal candidates have a mental health diagnosis such as schizophrenia, mood or personality disorders, bipolar, and depression, who have previous failed treatment attempts, or who are detained under the Mental Health Act. Their program is best suited for men with a primary mental illness diagnosis, who may be enduring complex co-occurring disorders including substance abuse, a mild learning disability, autism spectrum disorder, or may require long-term care for acute mental health needs. Clients may have a history of treatment resistance, complex comorbidities, or are victims of sexual or domestic violence.
Cygnet’s 15 The Sycamores location is a 4-bed community rehabilitation service (level 1), designed as a transitional program for men who are ready to step down from a hospitalisation program to receive a lower level of care. 15 Sycamores is designed to provide a stimulating environment in an intimate setting for men who are ready to begin their transition into independent living. Their stimulating, therapeutic setting allows clients to continue their recovery journeys with reduced intervention from staff as they transition back into an independent lifestyle. The convenient location is within close proximity of many amenities, including a gym, library, bowling, leisure centres, shops, hair salons, cafes, supermarkets, and churches, with access to public transport.
With a blend of occupational therapy, psychology and clinical interventions, Cygnet 15 The Sycamores provides a balanced approach, helping men enhance their personal and professional skills and rebuild their lives.
