About Broadway Lodge
One of the leading abstinence-based addiction centres in the UK, Broadway Lodge and their multidisciplinary team have been treating adults with addiction and co-occurring disorders since 1974. Their holistic and evidence-based programme follows the 12-step recovery principles and offers medically supervised detox, therapeutic treatment, and family support.
Treatment at Broadway Lodge starts with developing a personalized treatment plan that will fit each client’s unique and individual needs. Clients who are in need of detox services will receive 24/7 medically supervised care from experienced general nurses, nurse prescribers, and mental health nurses in a comfortable and safe environment. Detox patients stay in a 5 bedroom medical suite for anywhere from 1-4 weeks while being medically monitored and provided detox medication when needed.
Their residential programme offers psychoeducation, 12-step modalities, peer support, and a structured daily schedule with group and individual therapies. The programme features activities such as gender-specific groups, 12-step work, stress management, hypnotherapy, mindfulness and relaxation classes, yoga, reiki, massage and reflexology, relapse prevention, family involvement, stress management, psychoeducational lectures, auricular acupuncture, daily group therapy, and fellowship meetings. Clients work closely with personally assigned addiction counselors and peer mentors throughout their 12 week stay.
Broadway Lodge also provides support to loved ones and families with interactive and educational online courses led by an addiction counselor covering the nature of addiction and enabling. They also offer private 1-on-1 ongoing virtual therapy for clients as part of aftercare.
There are 13 private single occupancy rooms, many with en-suite baths, along with multiple twin and triple bedrooms that house same-sex clients. The main house, completely refurbished in 2021, can accommodate up to 28 patients. A catering team provides 3 appetising, nutrition-balanced meals per day, including vegetarian options, and can accommodate other dietary restrictions. Clients have access to water, chilled milk, tea, coffee, and a variety of fresh fruit at all times, and are provided with nutritional education and counseling as part of their recovery programme. Residents have ample space and opportunity for relaxation and healing through guided therapy methods such as reiki, yoga, tai chi quigong, indian head massage, reflexology, and light exercising.
Broadway Lodge provides compassion focused, holistic care for adults with addictions to drugs or alcohol, along with the treatment of gambling, gaming, and sex addictions, codependency, and co-occurring conditions such as trauma, depression, and anxiety.
